Escalator Removals

Our Removals

Expertise

Given that we put in most of the modern UK escalators in the first place, there's a good chance we'll know how to take it out for you.

Many of our engineers and project managers have worked with us for 10+ years, and have extensive escalator industry expertise.

Our teams frequently undergo the most advanced training to ensure that their skills are kept up to date and relevant. In 2021 to date, we've carried out training on :

  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) - designed to aid an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on construction sites
  • Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) - designed to prove the skills of plant operatives
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) - CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.
  • International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) - An IPAF Card, licence or certificate is what you need to prove you have the right training and experience to use powered access equipment (eg. Cherry pickers, Scissor Lifts, Valla Cranes etc).
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Working at Height
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid
  • COSHH
  • Coded Welder
  • Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA)
  • Face Fit

Our teams operate across the whole of the UK and often parts of Europe, such is the requirement for our unique blend of skills, equipment and speed. We've carried out removals so frequently that our "end to end" process is probably the slickest in the industry. From the day you contact us, we'll allocate you a project manager who has access to a vast support team to deal with all your planning, staff and equipment needs, and to get rid of that old escalator safely and responsibly.

In terms of some of the trickier areas we come across in a typical removal program, see below.
