Equipment
We've always been keen to source and manage our own equipment. This ensures it's in perfect condition, it's there when we need it and that all of our staff are trained to maximise it's use, safely and efficiently. That's how we get "in and out" of your job so quickly - we own it, plan it, move it and use it.

Hiab Cranes
Northern Escalators have 3 Hiabs, with lifting capabilities as shown in the chart opposite - up to 15 tonnes at a 3 metre distance.
Our Hiabs allow us to transport and offload escalator units into tight spaces, where they can then be moved on further with our more mobile Valla cranes (which are transported on the Hiab trailer). A truly efficient use of assets!

Valla Cranes
We have 9 Valla cranes, a mix of electric, LPG and Diesel to operate in any environment with a mix of range / cleanliness, and lifting capacities of up to 9 tonne each. With 2 x 9 tonne Valla cranes, a 12 tonne escalator could easily be moved through your facility with a crane at either end. We possess all the required floor protection equipment for your premises to ensure no damage or mess occurs
